It’s been three years when I started to enter the seminary in St. Albert the great Seminary in Calamba, Laguna. Many experiences were created, hardships and struggles overcame, memories that were fulfilled with laughter and tears and vocation that was nurtured given by God. My stay in the Pre-Novitiate molded me to be a better individual, not only a simple seminarian but a faithful steward of God. I started to appreciate simple things in life that can create a big impact on my life. Mistakes, flaws and struggles are inevitable in the seminary and especially in religious life but it is the starting point of taming oneself as a religious someday.

The part of staying here in the seminary won’t be fulfilled without the prayers of the Dominican Family especially the Dominican Sisters of the Most Holy Rosary of the Philippines and of course the spiritual and financial help of Mary Queen of All Nations. I would like to dedicate this thanksgiving letter to you Maam Merla Ricafranca for your unending and unwavering support to me as a seminarian and to my other companion. I am very grateful that you helped me in my journey as a seminarian in the Dominican Order. I was really nurtured that I could feel that Jesus always reaching out his love for me through you. I even had my personal time with Him and in that time, I realize something. I appreciated that seed of vocation that he planted on me, and I will let it grow in my heart, cultivate it and let it bear some fruits. I really thank God for this chance of vacation that it blossom not only my relationship to others but with the God on whom I have faith on.

May the Lord Jesus Christ grant us courage to face the daily struggles in our formation here and as an exemplary Christians in Jesus’ name. May we show our deep love and devotion to Christ by doing good things to others and by serving them. Thank You very much for your generosity Mary Queen of All Nations. Rest assured in prayers and hoping that you continue to inspire and help others on reaching their dreams and what God wants them to be.God Bless!
